Welcome to Zainab Lee Artwork !  Here is something about me.

I live alone in a council flat in the East End of London, with a goldfish,  and a couple of musk turtles.   I enjoy going to the opera and the ballet.  There are loads of theatres in London to keep me occupied.  My latest piece of sculpture is about the ballet.

My main interest is language and communication and I am a great fan of Umberto Eco and Sausurre.  It was from Eco that I got the idea of exploring the structure of language as network.  I see it as a three dimensional affair, whereby criss-crossing pathways eventually create a solid surface of imagery.  Semantics is the hardest thing, and the most intriguing thing.  I am interested in philosophy and science fiction.

I took a ten week course in Silversmithing and Jewellry making, and I now do beadwork ,enamelling and silver work,all mainly experimental.

I lead a full life and have no time to be bored.  To relax I watch DVD's, go to the cinema or the spa.

 When I'm not making art or working as asecurity guard, I indulge in computer games such as Pharoah, Caeser, and Build a lot.  I love music, and often mess around with my guitar, violin and keyboards, jamming and singing along with my CD's.  Sometimes singing my own songs.  For faith I am a buddist.
