Career

I was born of a welsh mother and an asian father in Cardiff in 1946.

I have had a secondary school education and since leaving school have had many jobs, from factory work to office work.

I have made pictures ever since I was a child.  When I could finally take charge of my life I took an art course at a college then known as The Cass it is now owned by Metropolitan university.  The course still exists as a degree course: Diploma in Art and Design Studies, this was in 1982 to 1986.  I highly recommend it! After completing I went on to do a degree in Fine Art at Byam Shaw School of Art and had a lot of fun.

When leaving college I held a number of exhibitions on what was called the Tower Hamlets Exhibition Circuit which consisted of various public venues, Community centres and libraries.  Sad to say I  did not seem to make too great an impression, ie no gallery wanted to sign me up, but now I have found a way of showing my work by exhibiting on line

Apart from drawing and painting I also make sculpture and like to experiment with enamelling and making silver pendants.

I am not currently working full time as an artist, I make my living as a security guard.  I make art whenever I can.
